The Municipal Clerk serves as Secretary of the Municipal Corporation and is also responsible for a number of public services such as: Election Official/Voter Registration, Registrar of Vital Statistics (birth, death and marriage records, domestic partnership). The Clerk also handles Dog Licenses and Yard Sale Permits, Licensing Officer for businesses, taxicabs and various other duties.
As Custodian of Public Records, the Clerk is required to supply public documents upon request in accordance with state law.The Clerk is frequently the first contact to assist with questions about the city or directing inquiries to the appropriate city Official or department.
